If the US 'Christian' soldiers truly believed in Jesus Christ they'd be reciting his words of peace such as "As you sow so shall you reap".. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you".. "Put your sword in it's place for all who take the sword will perish by the sword".. "let those without sin cast the first stone".. etc.
If Jesus believed in war and aggression then he'd have created an army around him to protect himself from his foes, but no, he never did that, far from it, this man of peace taught and lived doing only good to others (even to so-called enemies) by refusing to harm ANYONE even if this means dying at the hands of one's enemies whilst in the act of being peaceful. As such Jesus Christ's message of peace and goodwill is the very antithesis of this brutal aggressive war the USA is waging upon Iraq.
Jesus Christ went so far as to willingly die on the cross rather than take up arms to protect himself. Clearly then his message is 'do good and be peaceful towards all people even to one's so-called enemies'.. thus the real battle is within our ownselves to live a peaceful life even when war and propaganda and aggression are swirling around us.
For the USA soldiers to pray to Jesus for his help to win their aggressive war in Fallujah would be laughable if it were not so pathetic. The USA version of Christianity is a hypocritical farce, it's self serving and an incredibly vain and arrogant type of thinking. These fundamentalist Christians are very spiritually sick people. Rather than reciting useless farcical prayers to Jesus asking for help to win their brutal war of aggression in Fallujah these pitiful USA soldiers need to do some serious soul searching and reflection upon what they are actually doing in Iraq. These guys need to wake up and take responsibility for the horrific suffering and death THEY are inflicting upon the people of Iraq.
Rather than reciting empty self-serving prayers, the US soldiers should be spending their time packing preparing to leave Iraq. Rather than dishing out more wicked brutality to the Iraqi people the USA soliders should be extending genuine humility and respect as they the USA demand for their own hypocritical selves. American Christian hypocrits WAKE UP!!

Those words mean the 'good and the evil within us will be more clearly defined (ie cut and divided as with a sword) to reveal our TRUEST and DEEPEST intentions and motivations within our hearts and soul.
Thus Jesus came to more clearly define true virtue and goodness (ie the light of God), however by doing so he inevitably highlighted (ie contrasted) the potential wickedness and the darkness within us all. Thus by Jesus showing us the goodness and the light and the way Jesus thereby more clearly divided us (as though with a sword) the good and the wicked from each other. That's all. He's not advocated war and aggression, he's simply more clearly defining good and evil.. do you not see this? This is easy basic stuff. Is God not the source of all life and energy in this universe? Can the heat of the sun be used to create life and also to destroy it? Can the electricity which powers our homes keeping us warm in the winter and cool in the summer be therefor said to have the potential for creation and destruction? Perhaps God is like that, perhaps God is the source of all power and life in this universe. Perhaps God therefor is neither for or against us. Perhaps our task is to learn how to use this abundant God energy for our benefit rather than using it for our destruction?
Perhaps in the final analysis, God gives us the freewill to create or destroy and the RESPONSIBILITY for either of these two choices lies entirely with us (with each individual on planet earth). Thus let us use our God given power wisely to bring happiness to self and to others.
Lastly, if anything at all is understood from the bible I suggest we heed these wise words.. "as we sow so shall we reap".. for this spiritual law is merely an extension of the already known laws of physics of "cause and effect" which as you know are immutable as are the effects of our own actions immutable. Hence, if we sow peace then peace is what we WILL reap (either immediately or at the appropriate time of ripening at some later date) if however we sow death and destruction then THAT suffering will be our harvest.
In other words lets get real about the task before us, let us take individual RESPONSIBILITY for our own actions, forget about praying to God for special favours of help. If God were going to help us in that manner then by now he'd have dropped down tons and tons of money and food parcels to the poor and starving aroung the world.. but no, God doesn't work in this way. God has given us HUMANITY THE FREEDOM to create whichever we wish here on planet earth. We have the freedom to create heaven and we have the freedom to creat hell and God cannot step in to save us from our mistakes. We must learn from our own mistakes preferably of course taking the path of knowledge and truth rather than the path of ignorance, denial and untruth.
God, is the source of infinite power and how we USE that God power is entirely up to us and the effects of our actions are entirely the result of the causes we EACH INDIVIDUALLY set in motion.
If the Iraqies want peace and freedom then let them come by their millions to the aid of their brothers and sisters in Fallujah and let them stand side by side with them thereby surrounding them with a protective wall of love and Iraqi solidarity.
Utlimately God will not save Fallujah (or Iraq) the PEOPLE OF IRAQ MUST SAVE IRAQ! And forget about Al Sistani, the people THEMSELVES of Iraq must arise and claim their own freedom.

Lance Cpl. Jared P. Hubbard, 22, of Clovis, Calif. died Nov. 4 from injuries received as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq
Sgt. Charles J. Webb, 22, of Hamilton, Ohio died Nov. 3 in the 31st Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, from wounds sustained earlier that day when an improvised explosive device detonated in Baghdad, Iraq.
Spc. Segun Frederick Akintade, 34, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Oct. 28 in Abd Allah, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small arms fire.
Sgt. Maurice Keith Fortune, 25, of Forestville, Md., died Oct. 29 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle.
Pfc. John Lukac, 19, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Oct. 30, due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

1st Lt. Matthew D. Lynch, 25, of Jericho, N.Y., died Oct. 31 from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq
Lance Cpl. Travis A. Fox, 25, of Cowpens, S.C. died Oct. 30, due enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
Cpl. Christopher J. Lapka, 22, of Peoria, Ariz. died Oct. 30, due enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
