Chinese president arrives in Moscow to enhance the strategic partnership

Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in Moscow Thursday for a four-day state visit, which aims to enhance the strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Russia.
The two sides have deepened political trust and enhanced cooperation in such fields as trade and economy, science and technology, culture and military affairs, said Hu.
Russia and China will sign an unprecedented agreement on the status of forces involved in a joint military exercise

Before Russia and China can draw India into a military alliance, we see the US countering it with a "defence pact of its own". Again, this alliance can be tested when the dispute of India and Pakistan flares up again.
US needs India to counter China. But US needs Pakistan for its "war on terror".
So how?
