Ahmadinejad to Sayyed Nasrallah: Israel Should Be Dealt With Once And For All

18/02/2010 Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed on Thursday during a phone conversation with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah that Israel "should be dealt with once and for all" if it makes further threats to countries in the region.

Ahmadinejad told Sayyed Nasrallah that readiness to repel possible Israeli action should be maintained in the face of Israel's continuous threats, emphasizing that the Resistance must get ready to wipe Israel off the map if it attacks Lebanon.

"If the Zionist entity wants to repeat the mistakes of the past, they should be dealt with once and for all, so that the region will be saved from them forever," Ahmadinejad told Sayyed Nasrallah. "The Iranian nation will stand on the side of the Lebanese people and the countries of the region," he added.

The Iranian President, meanwhile, praised the latest stances made by Hezbollah Secretary General as strong, courageous and appropriate.

For his part, Sayyed Nasrallah said that Lebanon and the Resistance were in a very appropriate condition. His eminence said that Israeli threats do not scare Lebanon, adding that all Zionist schemes and plots were useless.

His eminence ruled out an imminent Israeli war from the strategic point of view. "The Israeli enemy is seeking through its threats and psychological warfare to terrify the Lebanese, but it won't be able to achieve anything regardless of the circumstances," Sayyed Nasrallah concluded.

Earlier, the Iranian President called his Lebanese counterpart Michel Sleiman and reiterated Iran's full support for Lebanon in the face of Israeli threats.
President Sleiman thanked Ahmadinejad for the call of support, stressing that "such threats are to be faced through fortifying national unity, military preparedness, and integration of national capabilities in order to deter any aggression."
