Israeli military bulldozer destroying Palestinian property in the West Bank
Israeli military bulldozers, on Thursday, demolished five water cisterns and three farming huts owned by Palestinian farmers in the village of Ithna in southern West Bank.

The soldiers also confiscated water pumps and electricity generators used by the famers, witnesses said, Ma'an News Agency reported.

The mayor of Ithna, Jammal al-Tmeizi, said that the Israeli military wants to take over the land because of its rich agricultural properties. He added that the farms in question are the only source of income for the owners.

Another reason given by the mayor was that the properties were in close proximity to an illegal Israeli wall of separation, which is under construction.

The farmers said that they have taken the case to an Israeli court and were waiting for a ruling on the matter. They added that they were not given any prior warning by the army before the demolition.
