US preparing military for possible Iran conflict
By HILARY LEILA KRIEGER, JPOST CORRESPONDENT IN WASHINGON
The US does not want to see confrontation with Iran but is still preparing its military for that possibility, America's top uniformed officer said Thursday.
Mullen says challenges, questions remain on Iran
"We've looked to do all we can to ensure that conflict doesn't break out there, while at the same time preparing forces, as we do for many contingencies that we understand might occur," Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said during an appearance at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
Mullen had been asked whether the US military was stretched too thin to take further action in trouble spots beyond Iraq and Afghanistan.
"We're very hard-pressed right now" because of the two wars, he noted, but added that it is primarily ground troops that have been deployed, and "the likelihood that our ground forces would have to go somewhere in these kinds of numbers in some other part of the world, or even in the same region, I think is pretty low."
Many experts assess that any American military engagement with Iran would most likely rely on air and naval power.
Mullen was even more definitive when asked to assess whether Teheran was seeking to acquire nuclear weapons.
"I believe that they're on a path that has a strategic intent to develop nuclear weapons and have been for some time," he said.
Mullen's words were echoed by a report in The New York Times this week that US President Barack Obama's top advisers say "they no longer believe the much disputed National Intelligence Estimate" from 2007, which assessed that Iranian scientists ended all work on designing a nuclear warhead in 2003.
Israel had long objected to that finding, and questioned the intelligence evaluation behind it. Mullen's comments and those of other US officials bring the two countries more in line.
"I think the Obama administration now fully acknowledges that Iran intends to conduct a nuclear weapons capability program," Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren told The Jerusalem Post Wednesday. "We agree with the administration on the intent of the Iranian regime to acquire nuclear military capability."
The Times also reported that technical challenges and potential Western sabotage have significantly hurt Iran's production of low enriched uranium, a necessary component for a nuclear bomb. That has set back the American estimated timeline for production of a weapon, according to the Times.
Oren indicated that Israel remains focused on the low enriched uranium still being produced.
"In spite of some reported breakdown in centrifuges, Iran still has something in the vicinity of 4,000 centrifuges that are operating and they are churning out significant quantities of LEU," he said.
Mullen called any attainment of a nuclear weapon by Iran "incredibly destabilizing," particularly because it could set off an arms race in the region and because of Teheran's support for terrorism.
"On the other hand," he added, "striking Iran, that also has a very, very destabilizing outcome. What I worry about in most of the cases are the unintended consequences."
He said that to prevent such scenarios, the US needed "to continue to aggressively address the nuclear weapons issue," to stress international discussions of additional sanctions and to continue "where possible to engage and have a dialogue."
Jim Hoagland, who has written extensively about foreign policy for The Washington Post and participated in Thursday's event, described Mullen's remarks on Iran as vague.
"That does reflect a lack of a clear policy within the administration about what to do on Iran," he said.

Any excuse for attacking Iran. It's all bullshit. Obviously, there is no clear foreign policy in the U.S.. Any discussion of foreign policy for the US should not be done among Jewish citizens who each hold a duel citizenships with Israel, and also with the U.S. If you are a citizen of Israel, please move there and give up your U.S. citizenship. We should be happy to discuss foreign policy with you as long as you don't present yourself as a spy. Secondly, any dollars given to Israel are American dollars through grants, earmarks and nonprofit scams that most U.S. citizens don't even know about. ALL THAT MONEY belongs to the American taxpayer's for American projects, not for Israel's projects to build propaganda against Iran, or anywhere else in the middle east ... unless of course, Israel IS AMERICAS PROJECT FOR GLOBAL EXPANSION. How many Jews are in Obamas cabinet anyway? Every single non-profit dollar (which ALL JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS operate under, including the AIPAC, etc.) are the U.S. American citizens tax dollars going to Israel for whose cause? Does anyone here actually think it right or fair to send the American soldiers to die for the Israeli cause? What's in it for the U.S.? Israel is in existence today because of the American tax dollar, that's true, and all military operations in Israel are made possible through the American dollar (with a little help from the French and sometimes the Germans and the UK), but the U.S. American public is not aware of all this "help," and one might think that's bullshit? I guess I'm just sick and tired of hearing Jews discuss and promote Jews on PBS radio stations (an U.S. American paid nonprofit radio station, btw). When are you, Israel, going to send your brigades in solidarity, side by side, along with the American troops, to help U.S. fight your wars? Get the American troops out of the Middle East entirely TODAY ... like Obama promised, and let Israel go fight these wars (they've started), all by themselves. BTW ... isn't Israel making their own nuclear weapons under Dimona? ... doesn't anybody check these guys for anything? Yep! this whole world is a deadly cartoon.

The U235 enrichment facilities say it all as concerns Iranian intent to acquire Nukes, if indeed they are not already there in a limited capacity already.
As far as the USA and/or NATO getting ready for Iran, that's ancient freaking history, we were ready for the likes of Iran 50 years ago FFS.
Of course you stund zioheaded ziohatemongering swastika kissing ziobigots try to blame everything on Israel yet again, that's you demented MO from the get go isn't it.
The Iranian theocracy is in the process of writing it's own problems due to it's intolerance of Sharia Law enforcement within it's own borders and the demented progrom of trying to attack Israel through it's multiple sources of proxy war by supporting the Terrorist Hamas and Hezbollah et al.
Take your crapoganda and shove it, only a demented moron would suck up the bullsh*t you ziohatemongers expunge, what freaking sh*tpit do you lowlifes post from anyway, sure is a reality depraived environment wherever it happens to be.

even though, according to the press, it was felt about 1.5 miles away from my house.
I think that any talks about an imminent attack against Iran is an utter bullshit. The US has neither the balls, nor the dick.
As for preparations... they can prepare to anything, including attacks on the intergalactic aliens.
Indeed, if they want California/Oregon/Washington State to become a part of China, and Alaska to become a part of Russia much sooner, and not as a result of an orderly sale in compensation for the American debts, they can try...
The other thing would be the complete abandonment of all those myriads of the American military bases scattered around the world: what do you think, will the local population somehow integrate the American gunks left behind in the distant lands, or use them as the public slaves ?

This isn't top news. This shouldn't even be posted in the news paper.
America only fights people that are weak. Iran would wipe the floor with America, it would be the end of the west. They're saying this shit because they want global sanctions on Iran.
Their claim is, without the sanctions they will be forced to attack. The truth is, without the sanctions they would never be able to attack. So they keep the threat of attack up, to scare people into accepting sanctions. But this stupid old trick won't work any more, the entire world is calling America's bluff. You have to give people a carrot and America is all out of carrots. So they keep waving their crooked twig around. At first it was frightening, when it was an entire branch, but just like the flag in this article it has withered in the wind.
America is already finished. Give it up already, get out of the countries you've extended yourself into, stop bringing in migrant workers, kick out the parasites from your country and MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, you'll be able to salvage the piece of shit that remains of your country. I doubt it would ever happen though.

And America is heavily wounded. Most of those wounds were self-inflicted. A lot of those wounds were from the parasites sucking on its blood. But the biggest wounds of all, are the boot marks on its ass from the resistance it has faced in its wars.
America cannot attack Iran. America can no longer take Africa, even though its trying in shitty areas like Somalia. It won't amount to anything, China already owns Africa. America will never get its AFRICOM, except with a Somalian due-restriction if the latter loses.
People forget that NATO basically means Turkey. Turkey is out of America's game and if America asked for a suicide operation from Turkey, it won't work.
Like I said, people are calling America's bluff, but trying to appease it as not to let the dying animal lash out at an expensive ming vase. America won't get its Iran sanctions, America won't attack Iran.
As hard as it is for them, they have to realise that their death is going to be a silent one. No one will attend the funeral.
But I, for one, will be there to piss on the ashes.

"I wish you were right. But as this evil empire collapses, it gets more and more dangerous to itself and others. Have you read this one?"
True enough.
One has to understand the American mentality to understand its behavior and its wars.
Americans believe they are God's Chosen nation (or empire), just like the Zionists believe they are God's Chosen people.
(This is one reason why Americans and Zionists are such close allies--they share the same religious delusions about themselves)
Hence, Americans believe they are intrinsically good. It's everyone else that is "evil" and indeed opposition to America's genocidal wars, sanctions, or capitalist rape is coded as "terrorism."
America is justified in waging its criminal wars around the planet, beacuse America is righteous, America's is sanctified by God to do so.
The bottom line: America will no hesitate to go nuclear, and use all its terrifying weapons on the planet as it begins to collapse.
America has a Samson Complex: If I cannot dominate the world, I will take it down with me.

The guys running the show have too much to lose. As much as they have planned to do so, they'd rather not live underground. That is what awaits them if they make the mistake of starting a nuclear or chemical weapon war.
The threat is just that, to stop people from acting against them. They've used WMD in wars before (neutron bomb over baghdad airport, for example), but they won't use them in a reckless meaningless way.

America has been barking about Iran for 4 years, threatening imminent action. So has Israel. Nothing has yet materialised, making them laughing stocks. Israel is still trying to recover its military image from its utter defeat in Lebanon. It poses no challenge to Iran.
Meanwhile, Iran is making its own fighter jets, missiles, satellites, electronic equipment and stem cell replacement organs. Meanwhile Israel and the USSA are drowning in their own bile.

America is already waging war against Iran.
Who is sponsoring the various terror bombings that have occurred in Iran for the past several years?
Who is sponsoring the various insurgencies from the Balochis to Jundallah "insurgents"?
Who is trying to overthrow the Iranian government through its Green Revolution destabilization techniques?
Who is waging economic warfare through not only sanctions but through other forms of US covert financial war?
The answer?
America--guilty on all counts.
The only question is whether America will escalate its current war.
If they do, guaranteed, the American people will goose-step and support it every step of the way.
Bloodlust and genocide run in America's veins. That is who they are as a people.

"America only fights people that are weak."
That's correct.
And then they exult in their victory, and strut about with inflated chests and garishly chant, "We're number one!"
The USA is desperately trying to reverse its decline by dropping drone bombs on Pakistani villages (as if that would help).
Creating fear of foreigners, particularly Middle Easterners is also one of their dying tactics.
They hope that through fear they can keep their impoverished country under control as their corporate officers suck in huge bonuses.
They're blaming their financial problems on Mexican immigrants, and their wars on Muslims whereas both financial problems and wars are caused by Zionists and corporate imperialists.
The world has gotten fed up with AmeriKKKa and its mass murders, imperialist instigation of regime changing color revolutions, its constant wars and military bullying.
China is a new rising star as the USA sinks in a morass of its own greed created sludge.
Their claim that the sanctions prevent them from attacking is the typical excuse of cowards.

This is terrorism, not warfare. You'll find that Saudi Arabia and Shahists are also involved. America and people like George Soros are trying to push it along as an alternative to war, but it isn't working.
Remember, their time is ticking as always. They have a window of a year, to do what they need to. Then its over for their ability to bribe people into doing their biddings.
Hey IS, good to read your stuff.
I have to say, its not just an excuse of a coward, it is what they need to fight Iran. They need to put Iran under international sanctions for several years. No doubt with a Maurice Strong-style oil for food program waved at their face. As long as China gets no benefit from this, Iran will not get sanctions. Speaking of Maurice Strong, he failed to convince China to hand over its sovereignty for the west's silly Ponzi scheme in Copenhagen.
Iran can pull out of the NPT and test a nuclear bomb right now and they won't get sanctioned, lol. Seriously, what can America possibly offer China right now, which can replace Iran as an important energy partner? China doesn't want to be dependent on one vendor such as Russia and Iran is the only reliable alternative.
Tell me, what can the United Snakes of America possibly do to save themselves from economic ruin and empire collapse.

"US preparing military for possible Israel conflict" is the correct title.
Unfortunately, the gentile and Jewish Zionists failed to take control of the Internet in America. Maybe they will never capture it because of possible conflict with the U.S. Constitution. In September, so many people already came to Washington D.C. to protest the U.S. government's tinkering with the U.S. Constitution. The bribed U.S. government needs to think twice before they go too far. Yes, Jews control the primitive media, newspaper, TV, and magazines, very much, but the Internet in America is already strongly backed by the free speech, right to bear arms, and U.S. Constitution.
Jews can't legally abuse the U.S. Constitution into their favor If Americans don't like Jews, then they also have right to criticize against Jews. Muslims who are U.S. citizens, should have right to be angry with Jews without getting arrested. Everyone's right is already backed by the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Consitituion does not treat Jews specially. It grants anyone an authority to complain about Jews, Muslims, or Christians. Americans will take action against the U.S. government and even Federal Reserve when it is the last resort. They will not come to defend Jews but remove Jews' powers and arrest Jewish financial terrorists, like Madoff.
Because Americans stayed cool to the military recruitment which was stupidly extending to the football fields and TV advertisments during the football timeouts and halftimes, it did not mean that they were willing to be responsive and become servants. Almost all of them only wanted to watch football games on TVs and in the stadiums to forget about the U.S. government's mess and problems.
If Jews wanted Americans to enter a war against Iran, they should have done that a few years after the 1991 Gulf War, when the Internet was almost unknown. Too late now. There are so many anti-semites and too jew Zionists on the Internet now. Jews still have the control of the 20th century mass media but the anti-semities have the control of the 21st century blogs, comments, and threads. Slowly, more and more gentiles are being seduced to join the anti-semitism. The end of the story.

quote:
"Bloodlust and genocide run in America's veins. That is who they are as a people"
That is very true.
One merely needs to look at the extreme violence in their movies (like Saw, Saw 2, Saw 3, etc), in their digital games (World of War Craft), their books, etc.
I recall in 1991, the US military showed a video of a bomb dropping down an elevator shaft of an Iraqi building, and the AmeriKKKans laughing and cheering as the building exploded from within.
I remember AmeriKKKans making jokes after they shot down an Iranian passenger plane, flight #655 in July 1988. Then they claimed it was an accident when all the evidence demonstrated an intentional mass murder.
Your words are very true and worth repeating:
Bloodlust and genocide run in America's veins. That is who they are as a people.
@Syrian,
Excellent posts my friend. You are right on the money.
How can the USA save its economy?
Maybe it can reduce its military expenditures by 90%.
Sell Hawaii to the Japanese.
Sell Northern California to the Chinese.
Sell Alaska to the Russians.
Dismantle the "Federal Reserve."
Restart business with countries that it has sanctioned such as Cuba and others.
But how likely is it for any of those to happen? nil.

Ethnic Cleansing, American style:
"GOP CONGRESSMAN WANTS TO DEPORT EVERY IRANIAN
The National Iranian American Council is on high alert after a South Carolina Congressman announced this week that he will introduce legislation which would require the deportation of all Iranians living in America. The Stop Terrorists Entry Program Act (STEP) was first introduced by Rep. J. Gresham Barrett (R-SC) in 2003 PDF link. The updated version, he explained in a media advisory, would bar citizens of Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Yemen and Syria from entry into the United States. It would further require citizens of those nations who are legally visiting or residing in the United States to be deported within 60 days."

American citizens, we have been so duped and fooled by our government. We are told our property taxes (and other collections of taxes, traffic tickets, permits, and all manner of financial court ordered costs and fees, etc.) are the foundation for “THE BUDGET,” and, that tax revenues each year is what determines the city/borough BUDGET each year. That is all too true, but, the deeper truth is, there are two sets of books in all government activities in this nation, and one is beyond public knowledge. Truth needs told. Money makes war.
We citizens are required by (whose) “law” to pay all these taxes, fines, penalties, fees, so isn’t it more than reasonable to ask that our government tell us about the second set of books they keep of our monty, and for them to be as accountable to us as they force us to be to them. YOU have a name (and a number) in this country. The government does not. Isn’t it time to get names and numbers instead of just pay the “stawman” whatever he decides we owe.
The Governments Budget (the one they let us see), allows us to use the financial diet we are supposed to follow without question (the BUDGET we citizens are shown where we barely squeak by, and we’re shown the projects that put us further in debt, projects we don’t particularly need or want and certainly didn't ask for).
The other set of books (the, larger, hidden portion of taxpayer’s money) is called CAFR (COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT), is the one the public would have to stumble upon accidently to learn of its existance. This it the funding big war projects are created from. Certainly, no politician would be totally willing to give up this little public gold mine as long as they feel privy to share backdoor investments with each other. These bargains, deals, investments, grants, nonprofits, never reach and aware public view.
Why should a handful of paid politicians be trusted with trillions of dollars of taxpayers money that's been unaccounted for? This CAFR money is invisible in the BUDGET. The actual people who have built this second fund, through their service to the community, with their blood, sweat and tears, by all accounts, should be controlling these funds entirely. They, however, don't even these funds exists.
google CAFR and read for yourself what’s been withheld from the American public’s eye.

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall
to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
"What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered.
He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard,
the mouse proclaimed this warning :
"There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse,
I can tell this is a grave concern to you,
but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it." The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
"There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The pig sympathized, but said,
"I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse,
but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.. Be assured you are in my prayers."
The mouse turned to the cow and said,
"There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you,
but it's no skin off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house,
head down and dejected,
to face the farmer's mousetrap
. . . Alone.. . .
That very night
a sound was heard throughout the house
-- the sound Of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it. It was a venomous snake whose tail was caught in the trap.
The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital.
When she returned home she still had a fever.
Everyone knows you treat a fever
with fresh chicken soup.
So the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard
for the soup's main ingredient:
But his wife's sickness continued. Friends and neighbors
came to sit with her
around the clock. To feed them,
the farmer butchered the pig.
But, alas, the farmer's wife did not get well... She died.
So many people came for her funeral
that the farmer had the cow slaughtered
to provide enough meat for all of them
for the funeral luncheon.
And the mouse looked upon it all
from his crack in the wall
with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear
someone is facing a problem
and you think it doesn't concern you,
remember ---
When one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for one another
Make an extra effort to encourage and protect one another.
