Suicide bomber kills 5 Pakistani police

A suicide bomber has rammed his explosive laden car into a police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least five policemen.

Nearly eleven others were injured in the blast in Bannu district in North Waziristan early Monday.

The powerful explosion also badly damaged the checkpoint.

Security forces have cordoned off the area. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
